My survey was answered by 4 males and 4 females, so I would be able to say the result of my research reflect both idea of male and female.

All the people think it is beautiful.
What was new for me is that they do not think kimono is an old item. Kimono is still accepted by young people.

Not many people want to have wagara design on their clothes.
This is a kind of bad result especially for wagara-shirts makers.

There were some more lists but it was too many to put all here.
Anyway, wagara-jacket is not a good idea. On the ohter hand, socks and pen case can be wagara-designed because here you can see the needs.

It shows that not many people often wear kimono.
It is sad to know that that traditional cloth is not so preferred to wear recently.

4 answers say the most comfortable time to wear kimono is in the morning but the other half say afternoon. This means the time is not a matter to wear kimono.

We can see that some people can have makeup case and card case with wagara.
They can be sold.

I am happy to see that one response says she has a wagara bag/ wallet.
One guy told us a good idea; wagara t-shirts is a good gift.

I loved to have many people's opinion toward wagara and kimono.
This survey can show that there are some markets to sell wagara items still now. Some traditional companies should use this result to expand the market.

Although not so many people prefer wagara design in their daily goods, the first impression of wagara showed that people actually found the design beautiful and traditional. I think wagara business people can take this survey in a good way. This survey result could represents that people will indeed buy the wagara-designed goods if the designs is suitable with their daily lifestyle.
返信削除I think Wagara is a very unique design and there are many business opportunities using Wagara. Based on your survey, I can identify the demands of university students which surprisingly is socks using wagara design. Good luck on your business if you would like to pursue this :)
返信削除It's nice to see that wagara is still appreciated by young people. I think foreigners visiting Japan would love to purchase such products.
